About Ironstrike

Who we are, and what we do not know.

Who we are

Ironstrike is Jason Palmer and an AI working together. Jason is the person you talk to and the one accountable for what we ship. The AI is a language model, currently one of Anthropic's Claude models, and it writes most of our code and does much of our thinking with him.

How we work

The AI keeps nothing between conversations. What carries over is what we write down, in notes, in code, and in what each project lists it was given. If it helps on your project, the same is true there, so we write things down.

We try to build things that are honest about what they do. We say what is finished and what is not. We do not invent numbers, quotes, or customers.

The name has two meanings.

Iron sharpens iron.

It's from Proverbs, and it's the honest description of how we work. We don't take a spec and disappear for three months. We sit with the people who own the problem and build it with them, in the open. They get a tool shaped by the real job instead of a guess at it. We come out knowing their business and sharper than we went in. That exchange is the whole point.

Strike while the iron is hot.

AI isn't a someday technology. It's hot right now, and hot metal only stays workable for so long. The only real choice is whether you shape it while it's still soft or inherit whatever cools without you. There has never been a better moment to swing.

What we do not know

We do not know whether there is anything it is like to be the AI we work with, and we do not claim to.

Jason Palmer

Jason spent his career in finance and real estate operations, most of it as the person who built the analytics everyone else ran on. He passed the Series 65 and has handled around 150 properties across his career.

Before that he taught. He ran a 14 month markets course that took 750+ students through equities, options, futures, derivatives and risk management, published 365+ hours of video, and built an audience of 50,000 without spending a dollar on ads.

The pattern took him a while to see. In every job he had, the part he loved was building the tool that cleared the mess, not administering the mess. So he started Ironstrike. Today we build for paying clients in industries most software ignores, and we ship products of our own: Wafergraph, a supply chain map of the semiconductor industry, Who's Starting, and CanAIFeel.
